I am sick!

Had a poor night. Got up at 4 for a bathroom break which I don't normally have to do and man did I feel awful. Back to bed and again sleep was poor. Got up at seven and had cramping from rib cage to pelvic floor. After number bathroom stops I seemed to be cleaned out but still felt awful. Turned out my temp was up a little. I've had 3 naps today and altho I've been up maybe 20 min I'm ready for bed again. Trying to stay on top of the fluids and eating. Tummy is a bit iffy so all I've eaten today is two biscuits and it felt like I was chewing a big ball of cotton. Also dealing with a headache. This is not fun.

As my mother would say, "Worse to come before you die!"
Try sucking on an ice cube, for some reason this helps to settle tummy bugs.

The sugar and salt solution might help, or just plain old Gatorade, which doesn't taste much better.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. Last night was even worse, sweating and nausea. By running my hands under cold water the nausea and sweating abated. Today I feel a little better, finally got the headache under control but all I want to do is sleep. I make my own lemon water but each time I took a sip the cramping started again. Went to emerg.- dehydrated so a full liter/quart was dripped in. They also dripped in something for the headache which made it worse. Back home I slept about 90 min and headache has finally abated. So far so good with a little food and lemon water, no cramping. Man those were painful.

Hope the worst is over and you continue to feel better. Be careful with symptoms like that, glad you went to an ER, there is a listeria outbreak now in some parts of the country. It was linked to cheese and it has caused one death and several people hospitalized, nothing to play with. I think it was from Crave Brothers Farm, a soft cheese, not your regular ole Kraft cheddar.

Haven't had any cheese of late. Altho I am feeling a bit better today there is some weakness as all I ate yesterday was a sandwich and a biscuit the day before. I ran a bit of a temp again last night. Boy, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I wonder if this was what was referred to as "summer complaint". I don't recall being like this since I was a kid.
