I finally manned up, got my first tattoo last night!!
I am in LOVE with it! I sat down with my friend who is also the artist and showed him a few things I liked, we talked about mixing things around and coming up with a custom piece and it turned out amazing..It fits me perfectly, and even my dad who isn't a fan of tattoos really likes it... So, I just had to show it off because I am in love with it and proud of myself for finally doing it!
Don't scratch it. If its sore, have someone else rub stuff on it. I found it much easier to get through all mine when they got sore to have someone else take care of it for me, so I didn't weenie out lol. Its nice to have a friend to go in the bathroom at work and rub a&d on your tats for you! Posted via Mobile Device
Thanks y'all. I am so in love with it.. I've wanted one forever now but I've just been hesitant because of the whole "permanent" part and that I may not have liked it once it was done, but I'm literally going back and forth looking at it all day and I'm not disappointed in getting it at all. I'm definitely keeping the a&d on it all day, I've been trying to just keep a tank top on with the strap tucked in, or a strapless shirt and bra.. My dad who doesn't like tattoos actually really liked it too so that's a plus. I think it's very "me", I was SO nervous but as soon as the stencil was on and the artist was getting the gun ready I was just excited, it seemed over really quick but we were there almost two hours, the tattoo itself took about 45 minutes.
I think Chris, the artist, nailed the horse head though. I looove it. I was toying with the idea of the head but I've seen so many ugly horse head tattoos but mine turned out perfect for what I wanted, something simple but flowy to match the simpleness and softness of the heart and the writing.. Squee! I'm so happy with it.
Trista, feel free to post a picture of your tattoo if you'd like!!
Very pretty! Put lubriderm on it as often as you can to keep it moisturized and quicken the healing process. Also keeping it moisturized with the lubriderm will make it come out darker once it peels and heals, as not as much ink will peel off. And if it gets itchy, have someone slap it! It really helps :)
