    Random question:
Why do you have crabs anyway?
We orginially wanted fish, and saw the crabs and thought they were so cool! So we got fish and 2 crabs. Upon research, we found out that they can't be in water 24/7 (like they are in display at the pet store). So we got a 5 gallon tank and put the 2 little crabs in there. Then one attacked and killed the other crab, so for pay back, we went back to the pet store and got 2 big male crabs, and I said we should get females (so the males wouldn't be lonely )

Abby the same thing happened with me when I was little, only we got 2 pairs. Fred, Ethel, Ricky and Lucy. Both of them had babies.. lots of babies. Ethel tried to commit suicide but I saved her.

Don't worry about laughing at me. I find it quite funny, but after I thought about it for a while, I don't want tons of crabs.

hahaha!! I'm so sorry Appy, but your post was hilarious!! 200,000 potential babies? Yup, backyard breeder.. times 20! I don't know why that was so funny, but it was!
Appy, you're not a backyard breeder - they probably won't make it...
lol thanks JDI! I really hope they don't make it. Not to sound mean, but i'm very content with my 5 little crabs, and wouldnt want any more

Well i'm a fisherman's fiance Tom and I go fishing quite a bit in the warmer months.

Well so far no signs of little crab life. We did have the filter on soon after the eggs were in the tank, so maybe they got sucked up. Or maybe the water just isnt right for babies to survive. (I read that it has to be like ocean water or something like that)
