This year my high school thought it would be cool to rip off all the seniors. It was an ugly seen. Eight elective classes had been cut. Eight
. All of which included parenting, food, computer technologies, wood, core french, business, Second semester auto, and creative writing. I just so happened to be one of the lucky ones, and only ended up being stuffed into native studies. Which makes no sense at all, why cut stuff like parenting and food, but keep native studies? But anyway, I had signed up for media arts, because I love photography, and stuff like that. So I walked into first period, pumped for media, only to find out I was stuck with a very foul lady. She has no emotions, and she looks at you like she's going to chop you up with an axe and hide you in the walls, which makes me feel terrible. She gave us a list of curriculum work we had to do, right, and each project would equal a certain amount of points if you handed it in, well we had to reach fifty points. The first one I went with was to draw a caricature of yourself. So I spent a couple periods and nights after work, working on it. I had it all outlined in black pen and nicely colored in, and handed it into her when I was finished with it. Well then she proceeds to tell me that I shouldn't have colored it in. Well why not?? How was I supposed to know not to color it in? She never physically said "Do not color it in" nor did her magical little paper say so. So what? I'm sorry I'm not telepathic! After that, we were supposed posterize a natural self portrait, but if we used the computer we would get 50%. Does that make sense to anybody? This is a media
class, she wanted us to paint it! I don't paint, if I wanted to paint I would have signed up for visual arts! I'm probably too late to change out, but I'm going to see what I can do, because I can not spend one more day in that class.
