A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.

thanks for the kind words everyone! I just hope she has a fantastic experience. I really wish she could come home for Christmas, I want her to be home more than anything.

She left tonight. We took her to the airport and stayed until she had to go through security.
I just can't stop my tears from flowing as I am writing this. I miss her already. Sorry if I sound lame, I just can't help it

Let it out. Those tears are happy tears. You cry because you love her, a bond no one else can share other than the 2 of you. Start writing her some letters! use that time to build an even stronger bond and build a relationship like no other! You would be surprised how an experience like this can change your life.
You're a very strong girl, you can do this. Make sure you write out and let her know how much you love her.

I bet she will have a fantastic time! You know, distance really stinks a lot. But, like M2G said start writing letters and this will build an even stronger bond.

I know it's a tad different but not really all that different...but my boyfriend and I are separated for summer and Christmas vacations every year as he is from 500 miles away from me. I hate it and it really stinks but especially over this past summer we grew SOOO much closer than I ever thought we would be able to because we were "forced" to talk a lot and really work on communication. It's amazing. And really, I am happy we had that time apart. We both agreed early on that it was a good thing for us because we had to learn to communicate so well and it taught us to appreciate each other and our time together.

Aw Snapple, I think it's wonderful that you and your sister are close and you'll miss her. But remember, you'll always be her baby sister. She'll miss you too. And you can easily keep in touch with phone calls and e-mails. It's easy to keep in touch with people these days. And even though a year seems like a really long time, it isn't. It'll fly by with all that's going on in your life too.

I'm jealous of ya kiddo. My sister and I can't be in the same room together. I wish I had that kind of relationship with a sister. Closest I have is my best friend. I'd be happy to send my sister across the pond and bring yours back to ya!! *wink*

Perhaps you mean Skype?
