I'm so mean to my horses...

This is the 12 year old TWH mare that I take care of. She was suppose to go back to her old owners on Saturday but she choked on Friday and the vet said it was one of the worst blockages he had seen in a long time. So she's leaving this coming weekend. It was a very traumatic experience for everyone so she got a little pampering today!! And no matter how mad she looks here, she was in heaven when she was being groomed!

She's not that cute...She can be the meanest thing that's ever hit this earth! There have been days she hasn't been fed because she wouldn't come in and I wasn't going to chase her. She drives me insane!!! Unless we have a spa day, then she's the sweetest horse ever!! LOL!

She looks like she loved spa day!
I wouldn't make her miss to many meals though, I would not want her thinner than she already is.

She needs "Jacques" to comb her out.

She's actually at a good weight right now! You should have seen her when I first started taking care of her 2 years ago. Skin and bones with a 4 month old suckling on her. She's gained about 300-400 pounds at least and she's where she needs to be right now :) She's a very lean horse to begin with, though. We had to rig up her blanket because it kept falling back on her shoulders!

Looking at the picture, I can see why you would think that but I have an awful camera on my phone and she looks alot better in person :)

Like I said in my last post, it's the way the picture was taken. She's at a good weight right now, she's just a really long, lean horse :)
