 and can't get out.....
I have a pair of lovely Effingham boots, bought cheaply from ebay, and shockingly were actually to big in the calf for me. Believe me that is a shocker and a half, even when I'm the correct weight I have huge calves, and when I'm fat, well they are HUMUNGOUS
Well these boots had to be taken in to fit me, but I knew when I ordered them the foot was going to be to small, yes I know, I was just so pleased to get big calves OK:wink: When I had them take the boots in I had them stretch the foot, it helped but wasn't enough, so this week I've been doing the redneck method, stretching with ice...here is how you do it
Well I've done that twice and it has really helped, I could wear the boots for a couple of hours quite happily, so today is the last stage. I put on a real thick pair of socks, drenched them in rubbing alcohol, and put the boots on, this will give the final tweak so they are custom fitted to my foot. I need to keep them on until the socks have dried out, which will be soon hopefully, but there is no one home to help me pull them off
They have gone to the city and I don't know when they will be home, and I can't pull them straight off with a jack cos it hurts my knee. So it's getting hot and I'm walking around with winter weight breeches and thick socks and long boots, maybe that's sweat, not alcohol in my boots :rofl:
