Yes I am doing the same thing. Weeded yard, brought in load of dirt for my flower beds, fixed a hole in the wall and painted my son's room, painted white trim in house and baseboards (don't know why I'm getting new flooring in two weeks )......sigh.....then at the barn.....cleaned field of poop, major poop and divided field with electric fence to rotate. I look outside and see more weeds coming...**** wish I was rich and could just have someone else do the work.

Lol Muppetgirl you are welcome to my house.

It is at the moment full of all my horse show stuff. From hundreds of ribbons (and I had to do another order because I only have a few hundred for the next show and need more) to all my show printers, competitor numbers, show office stuff, etc.. etc.. and then the formal dining room has been completely taken over by all my scratch notes, insurance applications, licensees, entries, scheduling stuff. Ugghh it's a disaster but since I started my indoor series on top of the outdoor summer series this is basically what the house looks like year round.
Remind me to earmark a real office in the next house/condo?!

At least it's not dirt dirty and is just in a state of moderately high entropy...

They say money doesn't buy happiness -- well happiness doesn't buy horses!

Sorry, but am I supposed to feel sorry for you? I would love to be inspired and driven to clean for days. I clean in frequently and only becuase I have to, not for any enjoyment. I think I'll get in line to have you come and clean my pit, I mean house.

My problem with cleaning is that the 20month old tornado comes along behind me and destroys everything within seconds *sigh*. It's like he thinks that because I have just mopped the floor - that he really should spill something all over it. And surely the toys don't belong in the toy box or the playroom at all for that matter.

I scrubbed my house Tues & Wed.... after working for two days and leaving hubby in charge of the kids.... why did I even bother???

Stop for a minute, open your mind, learn. You may not agree with what I say, I may not agree with what you say but we will both learn something new.

That's how I feel most days too Maple. Between my kiddo, nephews and big kid (DH counts as a kid) it seems like you get done just to turn around and see what exploded in the room you just finished.

This sums it up pretty well I think.

Felling spring fever myself but not a cleaning fever. Ground is finally thawed enough that I get to till up my garden today! I can't wait. Going to use up most of my manure pile in the process tilling it in after I get it broken up initially. Win win! My seeds I started with the kiddo are now small plants in my bay window, going to be watching the weather close and as soon as the chance of a hard freeze is gone they are going to get planted. Fresh tomatoes for blt's, mmmmm.

Oh ow MH - I swear that is my son!! I cleaned out the playroom on Tuesday - had it spotless... I have since walked in to see the couch cushions on the floor, the shelf unit pushed across the room, throw rug from couch between shelves, window and couch and the toybox tipped upside down.

I'm waiting on DH to get home with the paint - still waiting on volunteers to help me paint!?!? Lol

It's a fabulous sunny day in Ireland - nice and fresh and I really do want to clean... BUT it's Aintree Grand National Day! How can I possibly clean while I've got horses on my telly for the next 3 hours??? My sitting room is now sparklin though haha :)

I get like that only twice a year. I think with the various holidays the house begins to feel cluttered, which means so does my brain. I too get ruthless when it comes to tossing. I had the urge a few days ago but the driveway was too icey for the trips to the incinerator.

I feel that urge to clean every single day. I suffer from really bad OCD and the fact I can't get everything done at once keeps building and building and I eventually end up going psycho, (literally). I am also diagnosed with Mysophobia and I even have considered not having children because of the germs/messes that comes with them. Ugh it torments me.

I am the exact opposite, I absolutely hate cleaning my house. I have to literally just force myself to do a good thorough cleaning every few days, pick up all the crap, sweep up the cat hair, and do the laundry.

Given half a chance, I'd probably be one of those people on "hoarders" .

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Haha I get mad while I'm cleaning because there are other things I'd like to do instead.....it's that whole work before play mentality that was drilled into me as a kid I guess......

Perhaps this will change your mind about using your half a chance:
