    Interesting night at work

Of course I see interesting things at work allll the time but tonight despite the fact it was very quiet, one of my co-workers did a pt chart for a few months from now for a pregnancy. We do those charts all the time so to us it takes quite a bit to us. Anyways, we all nearly shocked when she came around to doing a chart for a 66 year old lady who is going to be delivering a baby early next year

Slight shock. The youngest I have done a chart for, was for a 13 year old. I think this tops the cake...

    Who would have thought...

OK, even with lots of drugs, my question is how. More importantly, WHY????

I'm too old to have a baby. I'm too tired to have a baby. I'm more than 20 years younger than she is. Are you sure that's not a typo?

I read not to long ago, here in Ohio if I remember right

A grandmother (late 50's) gave birth to her own grandkid

Her daughter couldn't carry a baby, so they did the IV thingy
And implanted grandma. (she was the surrogate).

Oh no, no typo. She is indeed 66 years old.

Yikes!! It's been asked aready, but WHY?!?! She's a senior already - poor kid's going to have a 76 year old mom when it's 10!!!

The kid will just be getting out of diapers and the mom will be starting to need them!

I agree. The body just wasn't made to have babies that late. I am also assuming this is a surrigate.
