In a few weeks they'll probably release an update that should clear up some of the problems people are having.

Glad I read this, I haven't updated yet ( I don't like change), I think I'll wait until they have fixed the glitches or until its mandatory.

I haven't updated but I've used it on some of my friend's iPhones, I also don't like it (but I like the new 'slide to unlock' and password thing.) I agree, it looks like a child made the apps :(

I think they're trying to be more like Samsung who is taking over the market that they began.

This space has been left intentionally blank.

The new update does not affect your battery life. Take a look at what apps you're running and see what might have just recently changed which is eating your battery. Things like maps or other GPS related apps, screen brightness etc can have huge effects on your battery, but I guarantee you iOS 7 has nothing to do with it.

Im not a big fan of the color schems they used, but I love that they refreshed everything on it. I think it was due for a change, but you will always have people complain about it-because let's be realistic most of the world does not like change.

I noticed the battery drain literally within a couple hours of updating.I have gotten rid of all but a few apps, have gone through all the settings and turned off everything but the bare necessities, gps is off, screen brightness is turned down, ect. Spoke to a Apple Support tech and he said this is a common problem since the release of IOS 7 as it is much more power hungry than IOS 6.They are coming up with some solutions to it though,a couple of which I am currently trying, and thankfully it does appear to be helping somewhat..

As long as you are happy with the answer you received, that's all that matters.

I work for Apple support, and this has not been an issue with the release of this new software.

My recommendation for you, would be to do a restore of your phone as a new phone, then bring back the applications you use most(or enjoy). You must have a software problem with an application that is causing this battery issue.

Sounds like I might be the minority here but I LOVE it! They added and changed so many cool little things, and I haven't noticed any lagging or a difference at all with battery life. I went and turned off some of the "extras" they added and if anything it's increased my battery life. Once fully charged it will sit at 100% for several hours. I love the new passcode screen, and the camera alone work SO much better than before! I think they really changed and improved things in a positive way, but like anything, it does take some getting used to, and of course you are never going to please everyone!

I'm not going to get it. I don't like the looks of it and I'm scared of change :/ Mine works just fine how it is!
