iPhone 4s question

Whenever someone talks to me on my iPhone, or leaves me a voicemail, it's so quiet that I can barely hear. What do I need to do to make their voice louder?

Did you leave the plastic film on your screen? If it's a new phone it will have a clear film on the screen. Some people like to leave it on but it covers your speaker.

Check the volume.

And now this might sound ridiculous lol but if the volume is up and you still can't here there might be something in your speaker- happened to me, and I got it out by sucking on said speaker. You don't want to stick anything in there and risk pushing debris in, you want to get it straight out. Worked for me, but again that's only if the problem is something blocking.

You may have a speaker issue. It's actually quite common in the iphone. You should make an appointment with your local apple store at the genius bar.
