Have a nice trip .

"On hyviä vuosia, kauniita muistoja, mutta kuitenkaan, en saata unohtaa,
Että koskaan en ole yksin, varjo seuraa onneain.
Vaikka myrsky hetkeksi tyyntyykin, varjo seuraa onneain.
Ja pian taas uusin hönkäyksin, varjo seuraa onneain.
Hei tuu mun luo, pieneksi hetkeksi. Puhutaan, varjoni, valkoiseksi enkeliksi."

Op- where in Oklahoma are you going? I live 30 outside Tulsa & 20 min from Stillwater so if you will be near I would be happy to help ya out if things go wonky.

I met my husband via match.com and it was a good thing for us, lol, but I would be happy to help you out if something doesnt work & make sure you still had an amazing birthday weekend. ;)

Ok, so I think its absolutely fine for you to meet him off the internet- pshh I did FAR worse when I was younger. Especially the fact you've ensured he is who he is.

Here is my two cents about long distance relationships- they can work, but rarely do.

For example- a co-worker of mine lived in CA and met a girl who lived in NC at a party, mind you in CA. They talked for over a year via internet, webcam, very few visits. The fell in love. He uprooted himself and moved to NC. They got married, bought a house... and now theyre in the middle of a divorce. Unfortunuately his entire support system is in CA. She ended up being a total nut job. With local relationships, you can usually, but not always sense these things in a matter of months, but long distance it takes longer, there is less time "together" to get to know the REAL person.

These are all long term scenarios of course, but just remember it takes years to KNOW someone. If you end up uprooting your life, make sure you are really ok with your decision and not doing it only for him.

I wish you all the best, and either way, HAVE FUN.

A coworker of mine met her current boyfriend online. He lives in London, she lives in Vancouver. He came to physically meet her last month and they are absolutely head over heels for one another.

She is going there in September and plans to move to London in January.

Oh and if you really wanted to be sure of his legal past you can check oscn.net, go to court dockets, then search dockets, then just put in his first & last name & it will search a lot of the largr counties for any arrest/ suits..... just a saftey check :)

I'm going to be outside of Norman in Sparks, so it would be a bit of a drive. Close to the university :)

Oh, I actually did a google search on him!! I did come up with a serial killer, but the face's didn't match up so I think I'm in the clear lol.

Good news is, no court dockets!

@Carleen, my aunt and uncle met on eHarmony, if I remember correctly. She is waaay younger than him, I wanna say ten years, and she's very cool and fun so I generally don't think of her as an aunt haha.

You know, I've had we'll say 6 good years of going local and uh---the guys around here suck. Its nothing but guys I went to high school with who are unemployed and might be going to college, but probably not. So I pretty much have just decided I'm not staying here and am using a boy as a good excuse to scout the country Currently thinking about NC as well, if anyone knows of some unsuspecting victims LOL

^^total sarcasm, btw, not at all a man eater.
