    Sure there is. There's this thing called the Power Off button. I utilize it quite often.

    I have to admit I love my Droid X2 and everything it can do, but when I feel like going low-tech I just turn it off. I didn't need to be in constant contact with the world before I got it, so don't feel I need to be now.

    please tell me how to turn the blackberry off :) it seems to have a mind of its own and likes to repower whenever it feels fit... I hate it I tell you :P

    I thought Blackberries are considered obsolete technology now? I have no clue how those work. I know a lot of folks had them when they first came out, but I just figured most people are phasing into the iPhones or other Smartphones.

    Besides, I wouldn't want a phone that decided on its own it needed to be on. I have enough trouble with regular tech devices. Don't need any that are possessed!

    If it wasnt for work I wouldnt even have it. Stupid blackberry messenger is something my boss loves ..errrggghhh

    Why can't I just live simple in the middle of the woods with nothing to bother me lol

    You are obviously a youngster!

    As a child, many moons ago, there was only one telephone in a house in the street where I lived, that was in the head of the Coastguards house.

    As children we would be out and about all over the place and what I have still yet to learn is how ant mischief we got into was stopped by ant adult who saw us and the news reached home way before we did!

    By youngster you mean in my mid 20s yes I am thank you :) and I would love to have only 1 phone in my neighborhood. Means I could be out until my curfew(sp) without being checked on and no one could bother me :Pthat would be a happy goal for me lol

    Ps off topic but this is my first multi quote and **** was that easier then I thought :P

    As for not wanting people to see the conversation... I can understand that. My parents checked my phone every so often at random times to make sure there was nothing bad on it. I hate technology :/ it ruins my freedom lol
    Haha, Kait. I think this will become a more prevelent "complaint" w kids.

    I am old enough to pretend advanced techno illiteracy. It comes in handy sometimes...unless I get stuck having to listen to someone explain "how to" do what I am pretending to have no knowledge of, ugh. And, sometimes I am not pretending.

    Yes, a youngster! You prove it by doing a multi quote, I have yet to learn how to do that!

    I do have a cell phone and carry it most of the time, the great thing about it is that in the barns there is no reception so I am not beholden to it.
