Little owl in my horse shelter!!

I was out feeding my horse and when I was getting the hay I suddenly saw something fly by my head. I looked up and it was a little owl!! It is soooo cute! I looked it up and it looks like it is a Northern Saw-Whet Owl.

It is rather friendly too. I got within 1 foot of it before it flew to a rafter. Its favorite perch is Berdi's feeder on the wall! I think I might be able to tame it a little - it seems quite unconcerned!

Lol! Yes, that's true! My family were pretty pleased to hear about him being in there. Now if we could only convince him to go up in our attic....!!!! Lol! I'm tired of hearing "olympic" mice running around up there!

That's awesome! We get barn swallows but never owls, that would be very cool to have one in the barn occasionally. Lucky you for having a camera!!

I was out feeding Berdi again tonight and the owl was perched on the bars separating the food from the stall. It was just staring at me. My llama went over to investigate and the owl flew to a tree. Before I knew it he was back though!!

I want one!

Yes, I think he's the cutest thing I've seen in a while! I sure hope he stays around for the rest of the winter!
