I was out feeding my horse and when I was getting the hay I suddenly saw something fly by my head. I looked up and it was a little owl!! It is soooo cute! I looked it up and it looks like it is a Northern Saw-Whet Owl.
It is rather friendly too. I got within 1 foot of it before it flew to a rafter. Its favorite perch is Berdi's feeder on the wall! I think I might be able to tame it a little - it seems quite unconcerned!
lol! Yes, thats true! My family were pretty pleased to hear about him being in there. Now if we could only convince him to go up in our attic....!!!! lol! I'm tired of hearing "olympic" mice running around up there!
I was out feeding Berdi again tonight and the owl was perched on the bars separating the food from the stall. It was just staring at me. My llama went over to investigate and the owl flew to a tree. Before I knew it he was back though!!
I'd still give up the taming idea. I think it can possibly cause problems to the little fella later in his life (all people aren't that nice and it'd be pity if the owl ended up to rely on the wrong person once).
