Stop cleaning her room! I mean seriously, my kids have cleaned their own rooms since they day they could walk. Sure as tots I helped them but by 5 or 6 "help" was either you clean that room or I will and I clean rooms with a trash bag!

Stop cleaning up after her and if she leaves a giant mess, that will be your Mom's problem to deal with! She isn't your child and she isn't your responsibility. If your Mom wants to clean up after her, that's HER problem!
The trash bag WORKS! Got my butt in gear several times!

Anyway, we'll try that. Thanks(:
And this surprises you?

No child that has had people following them around cleaning up is willingly going to go "Oh hey, I think I'll clean my room!". The kid is a heckuva lot smarter than you give her credit for, she KNEW that if she ignored the mess long enough that you would go clean it up.

I don't give my kids the option of cleaning up after themselves. If they make a mess and leave it for me, they get to clean up their mess AND do an extra chore. Want to have a potty mouth about being told to do something? We have several potties to clean! Nothing like scrubbing a few toilets to end mouthing off.

Given the option, of course she's going to slack off and watch you do it. Your mother needs to put her foot down and not give her the option of not doing it! I don't wander around dreaming of my kids cleaning up their pigstys, no I go tell them "hey, get these rooms cleaned up or XX consequences will occur" and then if they don't clean their rooms I follow through with their punishment (which is always on top of still having to do the original chore).

stop doing stuff for her. If her laundry is dirty she can do it. If she makes a mess she can clean it up. If keep spoiling her by doing things for her she won't learn how to do them herself and where will hat get her? nowhere, fast.
