Cool Long weekends=trouble

At least usually....my Squad leader and another NCO made a bet on how many new articles and how many peiople would get kicked out for mischief this weekend

I didnt have a chance to create mischief becasue I was on extra duty.

But somewhere at sometime I must have REALLY pissed off some god or just have really bad JuJu because today sucks haha.

I woke up 20 min late, rushed here only to find out my supervisor isnt even going to be here today and ig et to pull his slack.....
Last week we were supposed to hand in receipts for our clothing and whatnot...i didnt get to because I was busy with all the legal business.

So this morning at 830 I left work, hopped in my car and headed to company to turn it in...already dreading the lashing I was going to get for being a week late handing it in (how am I supposed to if they werent there for half the week?)

So im sitting at the light right outside base, waiting for it to turn green when SMACK! I get slammed hard core in the back. My seatbelt locks up and my elbow hits the horn (which made me jump because the adrenaline was already pumping haha)

I turn my head and see the little sedan behind me blowing seam from its hood.

We both hop out real quick and check our cars, seeing that theyll both at least limp to the side we drive over to the side, I set my emergency brake and grab all my paperwork.

When we both pause to assess our cars more, my car is definitely on the better end than his poor audi (go FORD!) I had almost 90% of the paint scraped off my back bumper, some deep gouges, and the bumper was tilted up so my rear door doesnt comppletely latch...it rattles now as I drive on the road.

His car though.....is just sad compared to my tough little escape...his front bumper was hanging half off, his hood was crunched up, there was steam/smoke maybe coming from under his hood and crap leaking out...he had to be towed off. (again yay ford!)

I call my mom, and my SGT (also my supe...who is on another island go figure) while he calls the popo....i also end up calling 2 of my soldiers to get my PLT SGTs number off them, waking them up (feel really bad about that).

Eventually the popo gets there, fills our paperwork out in the rain (freaking hawaii) and I continue on to Company...where I did indeed get the chewing out I was expecting....

Now im back at work...typing this up because my job is pointless, and has no impact on anything whatsoever....yay. Then I get to go to extra duty for 4 hours again tonight. Joy. I wont be able to get my car fixed until next saturday.......

To add on to all that...now my arm/shoulder is starting to hurt...didnt think he hit that hard and it didnt hurt before....but it was probably the adrenaline rushing through haha (yes....the initial impact scared the crap outta me haha)

So to sum it all up....today sucks....and I have really bad juju.

How was everybody elses weekend?

Sorry that your day is going so wrong. Keep your head down-don't call any attention to yourself & just get past all this "bad juju".

Oh no! Hope you go to the doctor and get checked out. There is no shame in it!
Those rear end accidents usually creep up on you.
Hope your bad day turns into something good. Go treat your self to something nice, ice cream, long bath, 3 ibuprofen, a good movie?

You can get a lot further with a ladder than you can with crutches!!
What do you mean what do I mean?

yeah Cacowgirl...its been.....an interesting morning to say the least.

Haha probably all of em Flygap! I have to go to extra duty till 2200 but after that...yeah im thinking coffee, a book, n some drugs are in my future!
If only I could get out of extra duty for this...but they would just tack on more days...*le sigh*. Oh well ill live haha.

On the bright side....his insurance is paying for it all, and its in the same spot as the douche bag that hit my car in the parking lot a few months ago then ran off, so itll ALL get fixed!

So, how come you got extra duty?

I basically got screwed into it...a certain NCO who doesnt particularly like me because I don't take her crap when she abuses her power started rumors which led to me getting kicked out of my section....when that happened my 1sgt took a look at some old counselings and decided they merited an article 15. So here I am haha.

I even went to TDS (trial defense service) and they said the charges were BS. And werent legal charges, and that they were going to have them dropped....but that didnt happen.

You've got to love the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

How much money did they take?

Gah, they're being some real champs aren't they?

I hope that accident didn't mess ya up too bad. I haven't been on the recieving end, but I have rear-ended someone. Let me tell you, that SUCKED. Only in my case, Ford did not prevail. Haha.

Everything will be better, just keep going!

Life's shining moments, however big or small, will always out weigh our darkest hour.
