Maid-of-Honor Duties?!?!

I am thrilled because one of my best friends asked me to be her Maid of Honor at her wedding, so exciting!!! But I'm terrified as well! I have no idea what to do. We picked out her dress and flowers together already but whats next??? I've never been to a wedding before (My family consists of only about 5 people under the age of 50... I can't even count how many funerals I have been to anymore.) so I don't really know the process. My grandma told me I have to throw a bridal shower? I don't know what that even is, ugh please I need help, I'm more frazzled than the bride-to-be!!!!

Maid of Honor: Her Duties in Detail

This gives a pretty good 'job description' and also has links to things like what to do for a bridal shower and so on. Good luck! The main thing to do is to keep her steady, happy and from becoming a Bridezilla!

Thank you!!! :) Haha she's as horse crazy as I am so that's not hard. We were talking about bridles (Go figure lol) when we were picking her dress and the lady helping us stopped and was like why do you need a band for your nose?! But I'm going to help her get her horse to her wedding and her fiance his truck, so that will make her extra happy seeing him. I'm so excited for the wedding lol I feel like a kid

I'm a maid of honor as well, for my older sister.

I went to the bookstore and bought her this beautiful binder of wedding planning with to-do lists and tips. She loved it, and her and I go through it together and figure out what to do next.

I was thinking about doing that, but there aren't many bookstores out here :( What is the one you got called? Maybe amazon has it

That is the one I bought her. I also looked at the one by TheKnot and it seemed really nice as well.
