Smile Making a website

Im making a website for a barn I used to work at. I am certainly not a pro at this...just like to play around. The BO wanted grey, black, and blue...but when I added more black and blue it started to look like a Dallas Cowboys theme. And I still haven't uploaded all the pics. Critique for me please...before I show the BO? www.hallqh.com

I see what you're saying, maybe a different variation of colors? A lighter grey and a darker blue?

I agree with Moxie. I'd play around with the shades of the colors. I like the colors where they are as in the grey where the grey is and blue where the blue is.

I think the shade of grey you have chosen is the problem. It's more of a taupe-ish grey and the blue is a pepsi can blue. The hue is not complimentary. Make sense?

What would happen if you make the outtermost grey (big box on outside) black

The middle box (light grey now) leave it. Or make it more true grey. Like the light grey on this site... the shade where the .com is up towards the top of this page?

Change the dark outline box ( just outside the H) to the same shade/darkness of grey just without the taupey-ness...more of a true dark grey?

Then outline that box with a small pinstripe the same as the blue H.

Perhaps that middle, light grey box needs the blue pinstripe outline too.

LOL....ok........I hope my suggestions have made sense! :) I know its hard to not go all Dallas cowboys when you're dealing with blue and grey. Let more black in. Perhaps black pinstriping will help with making the site look more "stately" less footballish.

I dunno... It's still not popping. Maybe a line or border around the grey square? I'm not good at this stuff.....lol....I'm trying.....hehehe. It looks better IMO. I like the colors.
