Manitoba/Saskatchewan?

So, sometime within in the next few months, I may be making a trip down to Minnesota for a horse. *fingers crossed*

Anyhoo, it's a LONG trip from there to Alberta, especially for a horse. So I was wondering if anyone might have a place where I could stay one night in Mantioba and the next in Saskatchewan if need be.
It may be in winter so I don't want to drive too long on these god-forsaken highways! LOL

The horse is going to have a current vet exam/Coggins test so it won't be carrying anything, but if you have a place for isolation that would work, too!

Anyhow, that's all. I can't give better details because I'm not sure when I'll be leaving or whatnot so... Thanks in advance!

Well I live in Kamsack Sask!!!!!! Do you need like a hotel or an actual house?

On my way there, anything will do. LOL
On the way back though, I'll have the horse(s) so I'll need some place to keep them overnight. It's too long and too cold for them to be in the trailer for too long, so coming back is going to longer.
Last time I went to Minnesota, I managed to drive all the way to the Mantioba/Minnesota border and stayed the night (missed all the hotels on Easter weekend so I spent in the truck in March. Damn near froze to death!).
So if I meet her first thing in the morning, I could probably make it through Manitoba because it's not very big, and would be staying in Saskatchewan, probably.
I just have no idea what route I'll take? Last time I went through Regina and stayed near the southern half of the border. I don't know, this time.
All I know is that I'm going to avoid Winnipeg like the plague. :p
