Unhappy Moms sick:(

Okay, so normally when my mom says she isn't feeling well- she's 'over-exaggerating'. This time she is not:(..
About a week ago, she was having shoulder pain, and we all thought that he was for over-compensating on that side because on the other side she got a van rim smashed into in( IT WAS HORRIBLE).. so we thought nothing of it. My mom included..

She decided once she started getting worse within the next couple days, High fever 101.2 one time. and more pain, to go to the ER to find out what was going on.

They diagnosed it as pneumonia. Infection in one lung, or something close to that. So, she was told to say inside with MINIMAL exersize.. Now,, my mom is 108 pounds normally and is a BUSY BEE around the house.. Wants everything to be clean and presentable.. SO she did neither. well, I helped around as much as I could( being in school- and work)

So, she went to the hostipal for a check up the other day... and within the three days she gained 19 pounds( which was crazy just bloated- she looked pregnant, she said it herself)... and her oxygen level was so low they wanted to keep her in the hospital but she said no. and came home. AGAIN, told to do minimal work and stay inside..

Today, she went to the DR. and they MADE her bring home some oxygen. She is SUPPOSED to be on bedrest completely. :(

Idk if that means she is getting worse. But it is scaring me. I might have to call in for work after school tomorrow and Saturday, because my dad is going out of town, therefore, no one at home with my mom>> which my dad and I are not okay with( MY SISTER LIVES WITH US- BUT SHE"S DECIDED TO GO PARTY THIS WEEKEND>:( ....)

I know that pneumonia, is something curable and what not.. but what my dad told me today just freaks me out..

My moms mom( my grandma) died of pneumonia when she was 46.. My mom is now 50( don't ground me if you somehow read this mom hahaha).. So she always considers herself lucky for living past the age of my grandma.

Im just so scared that my mom is so sick right now:( She's never been SICK SICK before:( Just worries me.. **healing vibes or prayers guys**.. Thanks.. << read about Sunny and I. Our journey

Pneumonia is a common illness and not treated can cause something as severe as death. Having said that, your mom sounds like a very healthy lady, at a healthy weight and very active which is what will make a difference. Most people who die of pneumonia do so because they have another condition that has worsened making it to difficult for the body to fight pneumonia and that condition-which can ultimately lead to death. Death caused by pneumonia is extremely rare, and I know this because I actually happen to deal with deceased people every day as a funeral director and I see what people die of.

The best thing you can do is to stay positive and be there for your mom around the house, so she can rest as much as possible. I have no doubt she will recover quickly

Sending healing thoughts!

It is very common, and the sooner she settles down, the better she will be!
Apart from that, all I can say is chin up, because if the docs were so worried they would keep her in. Easier said than done, I know.. but stay positive x
