DD and I actually encountered a couple who were out mushrooming while on our ride this morning. I, myself, don't care for mushrooms, but grew up going 'shrooming with my mom's family.

When is the last time you tried them? You might try again with an adults pallet, Anything breaded and fried in butter tastes good!!

Yuuummmmm!!!! For some stupid reason they don't grow on my property! AGH!
My grandpa shrooms and he gave a ton to my mom, when I found them in her fridge she refused to share!!

Was supposed to rain this weekend and I was going to go hunting but now we are getting shafted so I'll have to wait till they pop! I am drooling right now, LOL!

You can get a lot further with a ladder than you can with crutches!!
What do you mean what do I mean?

Been eating them all week :)

Found greys early last week and found a good mess of yellows a few days ago. Supposed to get some rain today, then it will be on! We usually find a couple hundred pounds. Love, love, love morels!

I just got back from riding in the Missouri Ozarks, I don't think I stopped looking for 'shrooms the whole ride. I did find several just along side of the trails. Found another 30 at home today, mostly day or two old. But they will fry up mighty nice tonight. I hope we get rain or they might be getting to the end of the season.
Good luck hunting!!

What great memories! I grew up in a small town and my parents had friends that we would go mushroom hunting with. I think it might be a small town/country thing.

OMG... they are the best!!! Haven't had them for years but can still remember how great they taste!
