Mother spider and hundred of babies

And there goes my hope of getting to sleep... Spiders creep me to no end!

I used to have a good luck spider. It lived in my kitchen box window, right above where I wash the dishes. It built a web there and sometimes I would "disable" a house fly and put it , still moving, into the web. That spider would move so quickly toward the entangling insect that I was fearful it would get my finger. From then on I used chopsticks to grasp the insect and put it into the web.

I was "feeding" my pet kitchen spider. It ate all the bugs that came in that window and kept my kitchen fairly bug free and never bothered me. My son would hunt insects for it. It eventually died, but we got another one the next year, and for several years one came and graced our kitchen. Wonder where she is now?

Folks, I swear you are like kids! Nothing wrong with the spiders as long as you don't want to pat them.

On other hand we had bunch of roaches on stairs in my building couple months ago (I still wonder where they came from). Those were HUGE - as big as my middle finger!

I don't do well with any creepy crawly critters.. (Look at that alliteration, comes from my degree).. Anyway, they are too sticky. Like you can't shake them off, their little creepy legs grip and hold on.. I've been in a barn before moving hay and had a barn spider fell in my tank top.. I couldn't find him so I'm jumping around in circles screaming while trying to get my shirt off.. I had people looking at me like I was an idiot. I'm just glad it was close friends or I would have been mortified by standing there shirtless.
