*coughsquirmhide* I definitely don't feed any of your precious feeder goldfish to our ducks or anything just so I can see them dive and jump around... ;)

LOL. In all seriousness thouigh, I LOVE kois, big gold fish, and ponds. Yours is going to be stunning, MH!

I will post more pics when I get farther. I didn't last long yesterday in 40 degree weather. I wore hip waders but it was still darn cold standing in it.

Thanks lockwood. When it's time to pick plants, I will add that to our gardening thread and you guys can help me pick! :)

We actually have quite the handful of people that come in to buy feeders for their ducks. They'll even show us videos of their ducks hunting! It's very amusing. :)

    It's looking amazing!

We built a pond a few years ago and go to the fish shop every now and again for fish food and the like (we have small native rainbows and some other type, also native.) Behind the desk are posters - like stallion posters - for a fish o.o wow. Advertising their various goodnesses, awards, etc. Some world champion koi is especially famous, it seems. I wouldn't be surprised if the fish went for 10k up.

My pond is a horse trough on my deck. I have a waterfall from a dish sitting on the railing. I have several brightly colored and delicate finned feeder fish who have just gone through their first winter in it. I have a water lily that is presently dormant at the moment. It gave me pretty blooms last summer, though. I don't have photos of it which I will have to rectify.

Love that idea Allison! Definitely share pics when you get some.

Worked a bit today on it with the help of my 4 yr old nephew. He made me laugh really hard, he says "Aunt Manny, I think those are bedrocks so we need to look for gold." Reckon he watches too many episodes of Gold Rush? Lol.

Wild Heart - How deep did you find you needed to go for your fishies to survive the NY cold?
Allison - I do like the sound of your horse trough water feature but if I put that on my deck in its current state it would be sitting on the ground below it by now!!!

Today's progress. Getting an idea of where I'm headed. My little helper today was fun. He had a blast helping me do the "rock puzzle" and I'm sure my sister is probably appreciating having a very tired little boy.
