A few weeks ago, it got down to $3.19. Now it's back to around $4. With our Ram and trailer, we only get about 9 miles/gallon.

NOT in DC or Baltimore area though. Every person I know who rode there was in some kind of bad accident. :(

Yeah, well, we are kinda out in the country .. 30 miles to work in a small city .. nowhere near Houston.

Car people don't always watch out for motorcycle people. And with the price of gas, more people are buying motorcycles .. many who shouldn't own one .. lot's of idiots out there .. on both sides.. imo

Gas around here is $3.88, and lucky my truck (S10) gets about 20+ MPG. Not so lucky on my Dad's truck which I also drive often at 12+. Normally, the one driving the long distance drives the S10, but we did just buy another S10. My school is probably two miles away and barn is like 10 miles. My new school starting August will be like 30 miles one way. $50 every two weeks in one truck and probably $150 in other truck every two weeks.

Okay, let's see.

There are 3.785 litres to an American Gallon

Our diesel is currently about 1.46 per litre.

Which is 5.52 per US Gallon

Which is $8.81 per US Gallon on today's exchange rate.

Okay!! You lot over there no longer have the sympathy that was welling up in me as I read the thread

Has anyone else seen the article in "mother's earth news" about a guy who made his truck run mostly off of wood?

Diesel here is up to over $4 in some areas. I already told my boss be prepared if it gets up to $5 a gallon he's gonna have to build a paddock for the horse I'm gonna ride to work =P

But seriously the prices are getting ridiculous. I remember when gas was $1.05 a gallon.
