    My momma used to say...

I want to know what helpful advice your mom, dad, grandparent, whoever, used to (or still does) always say to you that has inspired you or helped you through a rough time or just plain makes you laugh.

My dad always told me, "If you can't listen, You will learn."

"You can sleep when you're dead."

No one ever said this to me, but I say it all the time to others:
You'd care less what people thought about you if you'd realize how seldom they did :)

If you spend all your time caring what other people think of you you don't have the time to care about yourself

    So true

School is for life but life isn't for school.

Dad said when I frenitically tried to choose a career or got irritated with my upper secondary studies.
