I often wondered about the "clean underwear" thing. Come on, the first thing anyone will do in a bad accident is mess themselves, right?

My mother lied, there is no underwear inspection when they wheel you into emergency, I never felt that I would get thrown out because my panties were built for comfort, and older!

When medical people say this is going to hurt, they are not lying.

    Nurses are totally AWESOME

Ambulances suck, Saskatchewan roads suck worse, riding in the ambulance on Saskatchewan roads, well not on my recommended list.

When did you last have mandarin oranges in jello? I had forgotten how good they are.

When people tell you that broken ribs hurt, believe them.

I can wear dresses and house dresses an not die. A month must be the longest I have ever gone without wearing jeans.

On the same subject, I am amazed at how well my farmer husband and son did when they went shopping for said dresses, thy chose great things, and as a bonus they were all in the sale.

Dieting, want some help? Try this, put on a tight figure eight brace, to pull your shoulders back, then put a cast on one arm and a sling on the other. Now go eat, see that's what they mean when they talk about eating slow.

There is little in the world that makes you more humble, than being reliant on others for everything.
You are to funny! That was always a joke with my parents to about starting the day with clean underwear. You are to funny. Now you know the truth!

My accident wasn't bad then, no accidents here However the one before, well lets just say I was grateful that it was raining, because if the impact of that one had caused some bladder leakage, then no one would of noticed. Not saying it did happen, but, yeah, IF

As a former EMT, I can say that when we pick you up and haul you to the hospital, your underwear status is the last thing on our minds...

I am very very thankful for kidney stone medication.

I am very thankful that when I am in the throes of a kidney stone passing, my husband smirks when I am begging him to shoot me, and doesn't.

That I can go outside at night in my long jammy shirt and throw hay...no one cares, least of all my 4 horses.

    Today's

The difference between EMT crew and nurses? When you say you think you are going to throw up, the nurse looks for one of the kidney bowls, the EMT guy grabs the trash can :)

Who knew, one month in and I have actual nails, that is a first, no I don't bite them, they just break a lot.

There is nothing so healing as a good nights sleep

    And with apologies to Pink

    I have one...

The one day you DON'T take a shower in the morning and haven't shaved your legs for a few days IS the day you'll end up in the ER with some perfect looking kid that looks like a model as a nurse who makes you think "yes, I am that old. And no, I apparently don't give a s**t about how I look".

True story! Happened when I was thrown a couple of years ago and fractured my ankle. Then the Percocet kicked in and I conveniently lost my ability to give a rat's behind. Lol

Yep, I almost passed out when I gave blood in June and I ended up needing to go to the bathroom. I felt awkward AFTER I regained full consciousness and had left the clinic...
