    My Rescue Chickens

So my mom picked up 4 chickens from a coworker of hers. 3 hens and a rooster. He had gotten them as chicks because his girlfriends kids wanted them. They have only been fed scratch and are super dehydrated! Mom tried to introduce the hens to her flock. The 2 red ones did fine but the Cochin hen couldn't get away and wouldn't stand up for herself so I have her and the polish rooster at my house in town. So far they seem content. I've been feeding then sliced grapes, chopped tomatoes, corn cobs, yogurt, cottage cheese, egg maker feed with a tiny bit of scratch mixed in. I love hand feeding them. The hen is very easy to handle while the roosters nervous a bit. I'm thinking of easy coop designs. Anyone know of some good ones?
