I have a wee novel, approximately 73,000 words, that I need to man up about and submit to a publisher of some sort, but I would like someone who is not me (or my husband, who is probably afraid of being too critical -- LOL) to look over it. It's kind of a cop drama thing, but not in a straightforward way.

If anyone is interested, drop me a PM with an email address. :)

Getting a book published nowadays is a lot easier than it was. Many places offer self publishing for very little money. Depending on what you pay they will print and advertise and there are now E Books.

I have always been an avid reader, usually when in bed. Age has resulted in me needing reading specs and I cannot keep the glasses on when laying in bed so, have tried and liked the tablet readers, I can enlarge the print and read easily.

Have you got a literary agent? Having one of them is a really great idea and they help you revise, get a publisher, publicity and the like as well as knowing heaps about the publishing world!

Saddlebag, the publishing world does not always reject people, just many many people want to be authors and they haven't got time for them all :)!

My dad is an author, sorry if that was long.
