    need some advice!

    Hey all
    I need some advice
I have to go talk to my English teacher tomorrow. I have missed about 2 weeks of class one of the weeks I had eye surgery But last week, I skipped a lot. I have personal issues right now that kind of interferes with my attendance
What should I say to my teacher? Should I bring up the personal stuff? It has to do with the class

I have found in life that honesty is always the best policy. It sounds very cliche' I know, but if you start telling stories to get out of trouble - you will struggle to remember what you told to who and end up worse off then when you began. You will find that more times then not, people are genrally understanding and helpful.

Yep! Honesty IS the best policy. And if you just lay it all out on the table, and let your teacher know exactly what has been going on, maybe he/she can help, or at the very least give you an extension on some things.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

I am actually going to have a serious conversation with him tomorrow. I want to go over why I skipped classes (just personal stuff, group work is really hard for me) and about the future I will have in his class.
But the thing is, I have no idea how to start the convo. He knows I am coming to talk to him tomorrow
So I walk into his classroom and say what?

"Mr. Soandso, as you know I've skipped a few classes, but you don't know why......."

I think keeping things up front and honest is good, try not to get too emotional, I know I tend to ( I am a very emotional person), and just be mature about the whole situation. You are willing to admit that you skipped the classes in the first place, you want a change to make it all up, and you want to avoid the situation from happening again.
