Need some quick cash: any ideas?

My aunt that I babysit for had her baby, and doesn't need me for 2 months. I'm starting horseback riding lessons in November, but I only have enough money to get boots, and pay for 2 months of riding lessons. That means I still need: breeches, half chaps, gloves, and boots. I need to pay for all of it. I'm 16, but my mom won't let me get a real job, because she won't be able to get me there.(We live 30 minutes away from the closest stores and fast food resteraunts.)

I made a deal with her that if she gets me back and forth through the winter time(to the riding stable), that I will bike to it during spring/summer/fall. It's only 10 minutes away, so it's not a problem.

I'll be getting a REAL job in spring/summer time, and I guess I'll bike there too. I can't think of any other way..

For now, I need to make about $150. I immediantly went through all of my stuff, and I have a lot of books that I can maybe sell? I'm not sure how that works though...

Does anyone have any ideas? I'll need about $150 by the start of November. I don't even know if that's possible, without having a job. If I can't come up with the money, my gram said that I can borrow it but I don't really want to take her money.

ETA: I have put babysitting fliers up in my town, but haven't had a call. I have also tried dog walking with no luck. The people in my town aren't the kind of people I would want to deal with anyways..

At first: would it be able to waive or at least put off a decision about buying some of those equipment? I'm sure you can replace those with something you already have, the only 'special' riding acessory you actually need is a proper helmet. Or then if you really need these, try flea markets.

About earning money, try to find out if there are elderly who need help for example in cleaning around your corner. I don't know where are you from, but if you've summer around there, then perhaps lawn moving? Raking leaves if it's autumn? Snow plowing in winter?

I agree, you don't really need any of the togs except your basic safety items. Some good boots and a helmet for now then maybe you can ask for the rest for Christmas or Birthdays.

Ok, then I'll just grab some nice boots :) I'm still deciding on what I want to do anyways: Western or English.
