not quite sure what happened to me today

So I didn't eat a lot today...we went to a birthday party, I got a little dizzy, so I sat down. I quickly got worse and worse until I was covered in sweat, my eyesight was all dark with little white dots of light everywhere, I was extremely dizzy, my hearing got weird, everyone was talking but it got loud in my head, but I couldn't understand anyone. It was like waking up from being unconscious and having people talk to you. So we wnt out to the car, I was still pretty dizzy and weak, then I got the worst cramps I have ever had in my life. I was bent over crying, then 10 min later they just vanished like nothing happened. I have a history of small seizures and am hypoglycemic, I'm just not sure what happened, if this was just an extreme hypoglycemia attack, but the cramping threw me off. It was like period pain x 100. It was pretty scary. Any ideas? I looked it up, all I can find is things on inner ear infections and pregnancy

Sounds like you had a fainting episode. I have dropped a few times, and those are exactly the symptoms I've had.
In all cases it was because I hadn't had enough water, or hadn't eaten. You get dehydrated + dropped sugar levels, your body can't function normally.

I hope you had a very big drink and something to eat straight after.
Tianimalz and MN Tigerstripes like this.

I don't know whereabouts you live, but if it was a real hot day you may have had a case of heat stroke.

To me it just sounds like you needed something to eat and probably drink, like Katy said. My sister fainted and had symptoms like yours when she was dehydrated.

That happens to me a lot. Don't know what causes it.
Nauseated.. Sweats, the vision being staticy, hearing gets weird.

If you figure it out I wouldn't mind knowing o.o

The cramping stuff sounds pretty scary. If there's any chance you could be pregnant, you might as well go and take a test. I fainted twice this summer and after the first time, I took a test that was thankfully negs for pregs. Worth it to rule it out anyway. Could very well be an isolated incident, but if it happens again you should go to the doctor.

THe abdominal pain, along with the other symptoms have me concerned about a tubal pregnancy or perhaps even appendicitis. Please get checked out.

Sounds like your blood sugar went super low. If you have that kind of reaction you should always keep a snack and drink on hand and eat on the clock even if it's just some nibbles.

I'm confused as to why you are asking on a horse forum rather than consulting with a doctor...

The symptoms you experienced is (from what I have self diagnosed) low blood sugar.
The first time it happened I was in an elevator and had been sick for a few days so hadn't eaten much. All of a sudden I got really light headed, then my vision went.. I could see, but I could only "think" black hole. Then in my ears I heard this really oud "wohh wohh wohh wohhh" and bam, woke up outside the elevator with my (now) ex standing over me freaking out. He said I passed out and hit my head on the elevator railing.

This happened two more times after that. I am very cautious when Iget dizzy now, but thankfully it hasn't happened in several years. I saw a doctor who told me people faint for different reasons, and that was that.
