Not sure what i should do.

Ok. So there is this miniature pony living in someones backyard that I came across. He has no room to run and no grass there is a shelter but has random materials all around it. His feet are horrible. The only good thing I can say that h has an ok belly.I'm not sure if I should call someone or leave as be. I now bring him carrots and apples every so often.I will upload pictures when I get them.

I think that as long as he has the necessities (food, water, shelter), I'm not completely sure anyone would get involved. But, you could call and talk to someone to see what their guidelines are, and see what YOU could do to help.

No hoof, No horse! I would talk to the owners about his feet!! All the carrots and apples in the world won't help the little guy out. I really hate getting involved but, I would just ask about his feet all innocent like, perhaps they don't realize how important hoof care is. Some people really are clueless and don't mean to hurt their animals, of course I'm giving them the benifit of the doubt and hopefully if you mention something they will get a farrier out to help.

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

What kind of general impression you get when you look at that little pony? Is it apathetic? Peaked? You can say a lot on ground of the general impression.

But as to my opinion, I think you could talk to the owners like Dumas' said. But if they don't listen to you and the little guy goes worse you could telephone an animal protection or whoever handles things like this. You needn't to do a delation at first but you can talk with them and ask if there are something alarming in the situation and if there are the time to do the delation.

I think that you'd better to get involved if you think that there are something wrong. There are authorities which handle stuff like this and you can trust that they do their job. If there are nothing wrong nobody suffer - but if there are animals can't ask for help themselves.

Hope that everything is ok and you won't need to telephone anywhere :)
