Horses: 0 | Official Gift Exchange 2009 Thread So, to be perfectly clear, this is not the secret sister/monthly exchange, rather this is the exchange for Christmas only (or if some of you don’t celebrate Christmas, Season’s Greetings). I have been in communication with both Kelli and M2G, and they have both given me their blessing to take the lead on this.
Let’s get started!!
This is how I ran it last year: ·Those who wanted to participate contacted me so I could add them to the list. ·After the sign up deadline had passed, I sent out a list of who was participating, and everyone got to choose who they wanted to send a gift to. We decided not to make it anonymous so there would be little nervousness over who would have our personal information. If someone was uncomfortable with who chose them, I would work with both people to resolve and fix the issue. I just want everyone to have a good time. We also tried to pair people within their own country, to help offset some of the shipping costs. ·After everyone had chosen who they wanted to send to, I sent out an information form (?’s about your fav’s and personal information). The ladies had to send that to the person THAT CHOSE THEM. This way personal information was only exchanged once. ·Finally, we set a date to have the gifts sent.
Like last year I am 100% open to any and all suggestions that might help the process move faster/smoother, although I do not suspect any issues this year, as this will be my second year as lead. This year, because we are conducting all of this through the HF, we ask that all participants be 18 years or older. THINGS TO CONSIDER: ·Let’s put our heads together and agree on a sign up deadline. I would love for everyone who wants to be included to participate, however we do need to set a date. I though mid November, say like November 15th? If anyone has any other suggestions, I would love to hear them. ·Let’s consider a price limit. Last year I had set it at $20, of course for me, I went overboard, as I tend to do. ·Lastly, let’s set a date to have our gifts sent out. I do believe I had it set for early December last year. We could probably set it for the first part of December, but I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts on that.
Is there anything I missed?
If you’d like to participate, and if you haven’t done so already, please PM me your name, age and country.
I’m really excited to get to know all of the new members here, and reconnect with some of the old members!! |

Horses: 0 | So, lets set the date for Nov 10th for a Sign up cut off date. It ensures ample time for people who want to sign up, have, and gives enough time for everyone to pair up, shop, and ideally get their gifts my Christmas.
I'm super pumped! |

Horses: 0 | Now that we have a date set for the sign up cut off (Nov. 10th), who wants to suggest a price range? |
