I missed the first half of an event I wanted to see, so I went to nbcolympics.com to watch it after the event had concluded.
In order to view it one has to enter their tv provider id and password. It would not work. The id and password work just fine w my "tv provider". I called my provider, they claim it was due to nbc's software, not their own "errors". <<<picture someone sitting at desk pointing fingers away from themselves w/o any hard facts>>>>> So, I attempted to email nbc on their olympics website so they could respond appropriately, but I was unable too b/c on two separate computers the anti spam "enter the numbers you see in the box" was only a red boxed "x", no alpha, no numeric, no combo of the two...nada!
I wish the US olympic committee would pick some broadcast outfit that has at least high school level technical ability to cover the games!!!! I also wish my tv provider actually cared about keeping their customers enough to have contacted nbcolympics - themselves!! After all, it cannot be that the link was all "nbc's" doing, or that they created the link w/o an agreement w each participating tv provider!!! So, the tv provider contract is up in the near future...bye, bye, GONE. I can only hope that before the next olympics..so, too, is nbc - gone!!!
Would it be so sad if both these organizations went ch. 11? NO. Viva la competition!
