I'm very much against PETA. I do agree with some of the things that they're against/they've said, but for the most part, I'm very much against them.

    Here are my main reasons:

    1. They've killed over 90 percent of the animals they've taken in, while at the same time protesting humane societies and animal shelters.

    2. One of the main ladies in the group (not the president, someone else) takes drugs that were tested on animals. And her excuse is that some animals need to die being tortured so she can live to save more (huh?).

    3. Just the extreme hypocrisy.

    4. The fact that they want PEOPLE to be in cages, while animals roam free.

    5. Nobody is allowed to have pets anymore according to them.

    6. They've paid for ALF (Animal Liberation Force) to bomb various animal testing labs, destroying a ton of research, and even some animals in the process.

    7. They compare the way animals are treated in the few days before slaughter to the way Jews were treated in WWII, during the Holocaust.

I have many more... but those are MY main seven.

Wow! By the looks of things, I kinda like PETA, it seems they go a bit far with things...

...So, I don't think I fully support them at all. Good idea with the animal abuse and such, but I rather support my local RSPCA or WSAP then PETA~

I'm not very conversant in PETA but I know something about it. And I say I'm against it. It's good that there are people who cares about animal rights but PETA is too radical. Really too radical.

Once upon a time PETA started off with excellent intentions.... outlawing those cruel snapjaw traps for trapping... educating the public to animal abuse. ( Mr Vick never got the message, did he?)

But it became an organisation of extremest and nutters. I have seen a lot of the stuff they put out about the dairy business, and it's either incorrect, incomplete, twisted, or flat out bull cookies. I'll debate ANYBODY on this one. Bring it on.

I have to rate them below politicians on the evolutionary scale.

For one thing, throwing paint or animal blood or someones fur coat??? Now, I do not agree with wearing fur. No longer, anyway. We don't need it for survival.( Leather is ok - it's a final by product of the beef and dairy business. Use the whole animal if their life is sacrificed for me.) But this is stupid. The insurance company has to shell out the coast to REPLACE the coat. Yes, more fuzzy little animals died because of their actions.

I also don't agree with spraying chemicals into a dogs eyes to see if it burns so that we'll know if our shampoo, makeup, etc is safe. Don't we have enough convicted convicts??? And how many **** brands of eyeliner do we need?

Spiking trees? Yes, I agree I would like to save an endangered species, but now we have damaged/dying trees and lumber staff with missing eyes, fingers, etc.

They remind me of a pack of spoiled little children who act out because they can't get their way.

PETA are insane, plain and simple. A lot of people supporting them aren't aware of just how extreme they are, as they're good at presetning a public face.
Someone needs to be working toward animal welfare but PETA are NOT the way to go and, mostly, just make the rest of the people working for animal welfare look bad.
