    Ha!!
Well I've posted photos of my dogs, chickens, former goats, garden on here and have yet to receive a negative comment!

HF IS GREAT! I have gotten some rude comments about my hatchery chickens on a chicken forum or ignored when I asked questions.. That never happens here, always SOMEONE who's willing to help. Chin up, let those hussies do their thing, I'll talk dog with you, LOL!!

Oh good a thread to rant about my other forum problems!!!! :-D
Ok I am a member of 8 forums, some I use a lot others I don't. The fish forum is the worst at times. I always am getting into arguments about goldfish and how people need to "know the fish they get" (specifically about livebearers [like guppies] and how people get them and have NO clue when they will have babies and how to take care of the babies....) and my resent one: crayfish. I have a marbled crayfish, marbleds clone them selves- no joke- and this VERY rude person is just posting away about how marbleds are bad and "thank God they are illegal in some countries".... marbleds are cool and we should appreciate the fact that they are different. An other point that this person was not liking was that these crays can carry a crayfish plague that can be harmful to other crays... BUT... my marbled cray and her cloned babies live only with other marbleds and I am never going to put one in a pond.... people on there are sooo sensitive and annoying....

don't trust this person - she'll hypnotise you and bribe you with promises of cake and cute fluffy chicks
Seriously we all love our horses for what they are and what pleasure they give us so people who only want a horse for how perfect it is seem a bit shallow to me. Probably the best pony I ever had and did the most for me was pretty plain and far from a perfect shape but I owe her everything.
Theres something beautiful in every horse and I try to look for that.

Totally agree, HF is awesome. I've really copped it on another horse forum which is Aussie-based [Western Aussie in particular] and while, to be fair, I did bring a lot of it on myself in the beginning, it's now FOUR YEARS later and I have changed. They have not. Mods on that other forum are too soft and don't enforce their own code of conduct, and then out of the blue some of the "nice" people get banned for no reason I can see... others left because they were sick of the bullying that went on, and I, too, have left.

It's actually a big problem with the whole culture of the horse scene in general... HF-ers are great but outside, good god... I was criticised for taking on a 2yo TB [they knew nothing about her just that she was 2 and a TB] then criticised when I came to the realisation that there's a personality clash, criticised because I said I didn't know if I wanted to spend YET MORE money on a horse that I wasn't going to keep anyway because our personalities were all wrong for each other, criticised for trying to find her a new home, criticised for advertising her as "any offers accepted, price doesn't matter, home DOES" instead of "free"... God forbid they find out I'm considering rescuing because I'll cop it for THAT too.

And all of this just in the last 3 1/2 months... been going on at approximately that rate for FOUR YEARS.
