People are funny..

Isn't it funny when you disagree with someone and suddenly they turn hostile on you? And all their little fb friends join up and call you awful names?

It's like I've slapped them in the face or stole their boyfriend or something.. just completely upset with me.

Apparently nothing better to do than start drama on a social networking site, lol.

I just had to vent, before I went and got myself into trouble. Too tempting..

Ahh I hear you! I see alot of people use FB to vent and stir trouble. I got a dose of it the month I found out I was pregnant. I had to move a mare from one field to another and because she had been pals with another horse, I was told that her being close to his box would cause him to forget all of his training. A load of BS.. but anyway, it was that bad they posted things on FB (not directly at me by name, but I knew it was directed to me) and turned nasty with me at the yard. It was that bad they would watch me at 8 months pregnant carrying bags of feed without any offer of assistance while they stood around gossiping.

Ignore it, you are better than them. Some day it'll come back to bite them in the backside. It's a shame people still have the "school yard" tendancy to gang up on one invididual.

Agreed... and wow what *****!! If I saw someone pregnant I'd jump to help them not talk **** about them. Sheesh..

Good riddance indeed! I'd love to see these people say that stuff to our faces instead of our "walls;" bet they wouldn't be able to lol

They wouldn't do it at all. One of the people called into me after having the baby and commented that he couldnt wait for me to get back out as it wasn't the same without me! Shoulda thought of that before disrespectin me buddy!

I'm the queen of washing my hands of people.... if they do me wrong, it is up to them to make an effort. If I do something wrong, it is up to me to fix it. I don't have many friends, but it's not about quantity, it's about quality :)

So easy to find "friends" but the good ones are hard to come by. Lately I've stopped apologizing for the sake of being polite and I've noticed a lot of people making more of an effort to actually keep in touch and hold a convo which is a nice change..

I glanced at your post briefly when you posted it and then went on to other things. But then I got to thinking about it and I couldn't figure out why you thought it was "funny". I have to disagree with you - I don't think it is funny at all. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got. Things like that get under my skin, and at this point I am pretty pi$$ed off. What gives you the right to make the determination of what is funny and what isn't anyway? Are you the funny guru" Do comedians bring their material to you for your review and funny quantification determination? I think your whole post was rather presumptuous, and as a result I don't think I'm going to read any more of your posts. In fact, I may recommend to others that they not read your posts either. And that sorry excuse you have for a horse is ugly, by the way. I am coming to the conclusion that all Kiwi's are presumptuous and have ugly horses. As a matter of fact, I'm sure of it, and I'm never going to go there...

So far I have not gotten into it w anyone to any real measurable degree on FB. My best friend calls it an outlet for "self promotion"....I think that is about accurate.
I work a lot w my mare, and when I am proud of something she can do I post it on FB for friends that know us both. I learned that you can't be thin skinned when you do that....b/c there are going to be "back handed compliments" - even among "friends". I really rather someone just "get it on" than play "southern hospitality put down" w me.

I think it is really great in-as-much-as it gives you time not to respond...if it were in real life....ya might say something you would regret.

Yeah I agree.. but I feel if it was in person they wouldn't snap on me like this. They'd ask "Oh, why do you think that?" Instead of going off onto a monologue drama rant and have their little supporters lol.

Yeah thin skinned isn't good anywhere.. else you'll get disappointed easily. But it's hard when you're so happy and proud of an accomplishment and it seems like nothing to someone else.

If people had little supporters against me...I would get very upset..I'd be throwing a fit at my screen for starters! My skin isn't that thick! And, that is soooo true about "if it were in person". I actually hadn't thought of it like that! Cowards! I won't say anything "unkind" on FB...it just isn't the place. But a lot of people don't have manners in cyber space or on the ground. I am not sure how I would handle it. I know I got in a tif w my hubby once, and couldn't think of anything else to do but remove him from my "friends" list on FB. I felt a bit childish later...but it sure felt good at the time!

Yep, been there, done that.. got the matching Tee shirt and fuzzy socks! My parents aren't horsey at all.. a lot of my friends aren't either. A few that aren't horsey are more supportive than those that are.. it's strange. So I just don't share things anymore with those people.. if they ask great. If not, I steer clear of it cause it hurts too much.

I have to admit, I giggled!! Unfriending the Hubby after a little falling out :P that's great. I have blocked people for being rude, but I do the same in person. I tell them upfront how rude they're being and if they still want to be friends, talk to me when they aren't being such a jerk.


Yep! I am not thick skinned either.. but getting there. I just don't think it's very mature of ME to sass them back or criticize them. Takes a loooot of self control though as I do have a temper lol.
