    The power of positive thought

So most of you know I struggle with my weight, who else? WOW there is a lot of us

I have been on quite the roller coaster over the last 3 years, lost a huge amount, put back on most of it, just starting to take it off again, and feeling stupid and a failure for having to travel the same road again. Well apart from the fact that I have a lot of company, 95% of people who have a big loss regain afterwards, I remembered some wise words.

You are not a failure until you quit trying

So yeah, time for a re adjustment, what is in the past cannot be changed, so into the future, and I am trying

Lets collect some more words here, so we have a resource to call on when the going gets tough

(I so want to add, the tough go shopping on the end, but I wont)

I've always liked the line from the Garth Brooks song - The River

I'll never reach my destination if I never try.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

The past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it. The present is here, live it.

You canít change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future.

My favorite Garth quote is: I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance.

That describes the loss of my heart horse to a tee. The pain of his loss has been awful, but I wouldn't have missed that 21 year dance for anything.

True that Speed, it is the price we have to pay, and it is high, but can you imagine life without feeling that sort of bond?

Nope, and I feel sorry for anyone who has never experienced it.

If you need some attribution, act like you'd already have that attribution.

Like success, failure is many things to many people. With Positive Mental Attitude, failure is a learning experience, a rung on the ladder, a plateau at which to get your thoughts in order and prepare to try again.
