My tattoo artist actually keeps his building very cool for that very reason. When you get nervous/get the adrenaline pumping, you tend to heat up. I never had that problem though because it was nice and cool in his building. :)

Ya I'd say it's different for everyone. Mine is on my shoulder and when she went off my shoudler blade (where bone goes to 'fat') it hurt but nothing unmanageable. I definitely think you'll be just fine, I had breaks but per my tattooers request, she is a friend of my boyfriends so we weren't in any rush :]. I swell really easy so witch hazel was our savior haha. She was funny too my boyfriend got his pheonix done to start to finish his sleeve and she was messin with him makin more noise then I did and it's his third lol. It helps to keep your mind busy, music, talking or anything like that.

Edit: I am the same way once my hot flash went away (5 mins ) I had goose bumps the whole time as it had been 90 or so and I wore shorts and it was cold inside. You should be fine though :].

I have 3 with plans for more. I always chit chat with the artists but someone else has also always gone with me. Not because I needed them, usually people line up and volunteer to go! I admit, I'd hang around a tattoo parlor all day if it didn't make me look like a creeper. :P

I would advise not drinking anything caffienated as you may get jittery even if it doesn't normally effect you. Tiny shakes make sloppy lines! Other than that, good luck.

I had one of those tea and lemonade arizona teas actaully 2 and a bottle of water however I hadn't eaten and they suggested the tea thing. I didn't get shakes or anything.

Eh my boyfriend drank a rockstar when he was getting his done haha I would think that's another thing that would depend on the person. Maybe play it safe and don't drink one but it didn't cause any problems for him

That's true, it does vary from person toperson. But I've been to the range enough times to be able to tell the difference between my spread with a cup of coffee and one without, but it wasn't like I was clearly trembling!

Better safe than sorry. I've also seen someone throw up from the mixture of caffeine/anxiety/adrenaline. Don't be that guy!
