Last night was kinda wierd. I dreamed I was riding my super old mare in a reining pattern...I was actuall riding her, conciously moving my body to steer her and I could remember and make the concious decision to follow the pattern, but I found that the arena would sort of...move, away from me. Like one second the cones would be in place, then be halfway across the arena. But I was still conciusly deciding where to go to adjust to the situation. I'm not sure if I would call it Lucid but it's differant than my other dreams when I would not be able to control my horse at all, probably....

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Alright, here are the questions. (There are so many, I know! *sarcasm*)

Prior to this experiment, have any of you experienced lucid dreaming?

During this experiment did you experience any lucidity during a dream?

Side note: On Monday night I experienced a lucid dream! It was amazing! Silly me though, I remember in my dream that I shouted out "I'm dreaming!" and I got so excited that I distracted myself and lost it! As you may be able to tell, I get excited pretty easily so it really doesn't surprise me.

i just wanna post of another way to begin a lucid dream. i do it quite often and actually had one last night.

my method is to lay on your back, arms by your sides. close your eyes and look in one distinct corner, so that your eyes are not moving around behind your eyelids. fight the urge to move or scratch an itch, once your body decides you are sleepy (by resisting those urges your brain is testing to see if you are ready for sleep) your chest will get a little heavy and you will drift off into la la land, then think about what you want to dream.

last night my lucid dream was completely accidental. i as dreaming that i had a child and i KNOW i don't have a child so i realized it was a dream and took control from there.
