The name "tinylily" makes me think of the Chinese tradition of feet binding, when they called such deformed feet something like "golden lillies" or "tiny lillies"

The liny is from line, and the tiny, well, it rhyms. That's all. I am NOT tiny, but whatever . . .

Well, Hazels, back to your situation. This is really too much for you to bear on your own, and your friends cannot really do it either. Unfortunately, you have no real option but to involve a rescue or the SPCA or the Humane Society or whoever will take the horses. It must be heartbreaking to think that the "dream" won't work. I used to dream of keeping a horse in my suburban home's back yard, way back when I was about 11. But it wasnt' a reality, as anyone can see.

This is , of course a much harder situation, but it is also not doable as it stands. Pass this to your parents and ask them to bring in the authorities and then have a good cry . The horses will be as well of, or better, in the hands of the authorities as they would with you and your friends.

Hazel, remember what I said about volunteering. If you really like horses get involved. Many groups need people to supervise horses while they graze, to feed and clean, to assist in exercise for them. And there is a suspicious shortage of volunteers in most cases.

Hazels, where (in general) are you located in Washington? Puget Sound? Inland Empire? Somewhere in between?

Tiny: Somewhere in my first thread, I mentioned that we're giving them to a rescue and will be reporting the man for animal neglect if he doesn't return. (He should be coming tomorrow)

Breella mentioned it three times because its a very good idea haha! I've been volunteering at a rescue here on island since I can't have my horses with me and they definitely needed me! Haha they can never have too many hore lovin people to help take care of the animals

Im glad the situations getting taken care of.

I do a lot of volunteer work, some at a zoo, some with cat rescue and foster, local hospitals-- volunteering is awesome :-p
