Talking Question for my FLORIDA peeps!

Alright so hubby and I have decided that as soon as our houses sell (we have 1 we're currently living in and 1 we flipped and has been on the market for a year now), we're headed south from Ohio to FLORIDA!

While I'd love to live near the beach, usually those areas are pretty built up and we like the more countryside-type areas and inland also seems to be quite a bit less expensive which is a plus.

So I wanted to ask, since I've never lived anywhere but northeast Ohio...to all my fellow horse forumers who live in or have lived in Florida, where are some good areas to live that would be similar to my current town of Copley, OH?

Here's the house we live in now that's up for sale, to give you an idea of our neighborhood and everything:
Copley Real Estate - 394 Silver Ridge Dr, Copley, OH, 44321

Some info about the town we currently live in:
Copley, OH 44321 Demographics Summary - CLRSearch

Currently we've been looking around the Clermont, FL area (west of Orlando), but since we have no idea what the "good parts of town" are and all that, thought I'd drop a line on here for some help from those who actually live around there!

I think you should look more around where I am near ocala! ;)

Seriously its cheeper around here. I had a friend that had to sell her horse beause she couldnt affored to keep him in/around orlando. I live in Morriston, we have some really nice trails that go on for hours, and we're closeish to the FL horse park.

Oooh I'll have to check that out! We were looking around Clermont though since the National Training Center is there and my hubby is a Triathlete and very excited about that facility!

Tell him we have nice running trails :P and can't forget the cute little park. XD

I'm not sure where clermont is but I'm 2 hours from orlando, and around 2 hours from a really awesome beach. There is a place called Ormond, its just north of daytona. It's less crowded, so that where we always go.

Clermont is just west of Orlando, so it's a little ways from Ocala!
