Quite a rotten day...

Feeling very sorry for myself I have a cold and fever, Brock was a complete pig and my shoulder and side will be horribly sore tomorrow, and I can't stop thinking about chicken soup but I'm now too dizzy to get up and make some. AND I have a major research piece due end of next week so I can't afford to take a day off and fall behind. Waaaaah! I want my mummy!

I need a horse that can make chicken soup...

Sorry about your horse being a pig.. hate those days. But glad you're otherwise okay from it.

As for your paper, BEEN THERE DONE THAT. Mine only took 3 days to do once I got the rest of the mumbo jumbo out of the way.

Secure your credible sources, pull the good supportive quotes. Paraphrase 80% of them and explain the heck out of what they mean in terms of contributing to your thesis. Add in fancy transitions.. a really hooker for an intro paragraph. And in the conclusion, satisfy the hell out of the reader. Make them wish the paper never ended.

You can do this! I wrote about chickens, I'm sure yours will have more substance!

Unfortunately I'm working with a massive dataset (16,000 responses, 150 questions) so still pulling out numbers. The writing bit is going to be easier but I need to get there first Primary research is as evil as the Evil Horse Of Doom.

Yeah very glad there was a second person on hand, we kept having to switch roles because he'd tire us out with his antics. No respect for whips, jabs, anything - needs to be put back in his place all over again *sigh*

Oh well, Monday tomorrow, and I like Mondays for some reason (Wednesdays are cursed though).

I love Wednesdays and Mondays :P Not a fan of Fridays.. the weekend just flies by too fast and traffic is insane!

Feel all better!! Horses sometimes get into that mood.. hopefully he worked himself out of it so the next time isn't as extreme. What was he doing exactly? :/

Being a monster on the lead - little rears and pawing, dashing towards fences to try and fight other geldings, crow hopping, spinning, trying to chase us from the paddock, trying to run off, leaning til we nearly ended up in ditches. I've fixed this stuff before with him, but with a roundyard and feeding rules so I'm at my wits end as he seems to have forgotten :-/ He was a gem last week but it looks like his stallion behavior was on full display today

Sounds like he needs a good spanking (if he were a child, unfortunately not the case.) Naughty horse.

He may need to be put in line by a trainer or something. Cause it seems it's going to escalate if he was fine last week and a pig this week..

I would only he's very place-based, will get obedient at the trainer's and come back and be a nightmare - he has a strong sense of territory. If I could get a trainer out to work with both of us that'd be good. But I need to re-establish my dominance. Hormone therapy might help too. But if he doesn't change then I may need to consider my options - and at the moment that's looking like either a teaser for a stud or the afterlife. I couldn't in all conscience sell or give him to anyone but a very experienced rider - and I don't know why they'd want someone else's problem.
