Random Chat While I Wait Out Sandy...

So what's everyone doing? My boyfriend just called and said that they just closed the store and that he is on his way.... I have a fire in the fireplace and the electricity should go out any minute...

I'm cruising here in between breaks of Astronomy homework. My husband is playing Mass Effect 3.

IF we lose power, it will not be for long. We live on a high priority grid (military base).

Nice. My boyfriend is convinced that the storm isn't going to do anything. I give the house we just moved into credit I can't hear the wind at all or the rain. My iggy is sleeping on me. Haha so cute. But for now I'm HF-ing it til I can make dinner. I should really be doing homework but I don't feel like it. College can wait a day.

College is closed for me both today and tomorrow!! Work is also closed for me today and maybe tomorrow too.

But I'm in online classes so if I use this time to get ahead in assignments, I'll have more non-hurricane horse time later!

I'm torn between Tombstone Pizza (double top pepperoni), spaghetti bake (like lasagna but spaghetti noodles instead of the flat noodles) or hamburgers (steak, swiss & mushroom and black nugget) for dinner. My husband doesn't care what I make and rarely makes requests. He's so easy to please in that regard -- only ever said one thing I made was bad, and ate it all anyway. He likes spinach so I bought those spinach-based pasta noodles, and they were awful.

Try the ones that are the tri colored (red, green, and regular,) and they really only taste best in Alfredo to me. I think we are going to have a "ghetto" dinner. Aka a bunch of random things because I am sick and really don't know what I want. And that shall include Teneral grilled salmon. And probably tuna helper plus waffle fries, and maybe still something else. I might just make cream of potato soup and throw in some canned chicken and veggies. Actually that sounds the best now that I've just wrote it out. But still will be having grilled salmon either way.

I have to have the internet to do most of my home work so I will have to just finish writing my paper either way and do my math homework on line when I get connection at the campus. No internet or TV at home.

What is black nugget? And I vote hamburgers. But in the oven talk about delish! I'm so tempted to call john but I don't want him to get him self into an accident coming home.

A nice juicy hamburger sounds delish! I don't know what black nugget is either, unless you mean burnt "shrooms? Hope the storm is not as bas as predicted for those in it's path.

Our supermarket sells "pre-mixed" burgers in many flavors. It's a hamburger with "stuff" mixed in it - like the Swiss&Mushroom has bits of swiss cheese and mushrooms in it, the Greek one has cheese (feta/blue) and bits of lamb and that sauce, Bacon & Cheddar has chunks of bacon and cheddar...you get the picture. They have 12 different kinds of burgers!

Black Nugget burgers have a marinade mixed in with them. I'm not exactly certain what's in it, but the man behind the counter told me it was molasses, montreal steak seasoning with some other herbs/spices mixed in. It's really, really good.

Nice. Sounds tastey. The man did come home and I did make that chicken potato soup. Between the both of us we at the whole pan. And my BO is already asking me when I plan on coming over tomorrow. Good grief. My aunt posted on Facebook that the state of Maryland is declaring only emergency personnel on roadway til noon tomorrow. And its not supposed to break up around here til like midnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
