    Random rant arg

Okay need to get this out. I'd post it elsewhere and not bother all of you, but all the other forums I belong to they belong to also.

I'm homeschooled and a senior this year. All the other seniors have been planning all the graduation stuff that they think is going to be "great". They say they are "open to opinions" from everyone, but when I suggest anything they brush it aside, tell me it's stupid, or change the subject.
To make matters worse, they KNOW what days are not good for me, they know what days I go up to the stables, but yet they insist on planning the outtings and whatnot on the days where I don't possibly have enough time to attend...then they get all upset at me when I tell them that the day is never good for me and I can't make it.
My mom suggested a long time ago that all the seniors do a "yearbook" for everyone, and when they suggested it, they thought it was a good idea, but didn't want to do it for everyone (all grades) like I wanted to. Instead they just wanted to have it for the seniors. Since we are homeschooled there's lots of stuff we don't have...aka teachers. So in the "teacher" section, they are putting pictures of Hitler, Stalin and so on. I've told them at least 5 times that the idea is NOT funny and I don't like it, but they again get all upset at me. But when I suggest something serious for the yearbook they say it's a horrible idea.
Now they reserved a park and pavillion (I think I spelled that wrong) for the graduation thing...and they are saying that everyone has to write a speech and what not. They'll be horrified to know that I don't public speak at all haha. But again, I can't make that day and they'll get all upset.

They don't realize how busy I really am. None of them own a horse, nor ride regularlly, so they don't even know half as much as what that entails.
And if I try to explain it to them they get all upset again.

I'm sooo close to just saying count me out of the graduation thing, that I don't want to be apart of it.

Okay I'm done and I feel better now haha

Believe it or not, but down the road none of that stuff will matter. I went to regular school but when I was a senior I was working full time and lived on a farm so had lots of chores. I was pretty well out of it the last half of my senior year only taking a few classes. I didn't go to the senior prom (yes I had a boygfriend), couldn't make it to any of the social stuff associated with graduation. Now 30 years and 1000 miles later I could care less and barely remember any of that stuff or any of the people either. I know at the moment its really important to you but try not to let it get to you. Its really not worth it believe me :)

oh heavens I know it isn't worth it, and I personally didn't want to do a whole graduation thing. The yearbook was my mom's idea and originally it was meant to be that the Seniors runned it, and we did it for all the classes...but all the seniors said they didn't want to "waste their time" making a yearbook for kids that they won't care if they remember or not. Not like they are even half as busy as me...nor do realize how busy I am.
