This really is not my week

- This is more just a mini rant to be able to get it off my chest, instead of repeating it to my sister who heard it 10 times already.-

I got pulled over for speeding down a country road. Not by very much, they clocked me at about 52 in a 40mph (it was coming out of a 50 mph zone too.)

So, crap. That sucks. Then my registration isn't in my truck. There goes another 50$ on that citation.. Then my license is a New Jersey license, when I've been living in Maryland for a year already. Woops.. My bad, okay, I'll pay that too (My fault.)

So it was a bad start. It got even worse when the Sheriff informed me that I had to find someone to come get my truck, or have it towed.

Wait, what?

My license was suspended. When did that happen?

And then He tells me I'm lucky I didn't get arrested (Yeah well no S**t.)

So I've been driving (being driven) from the court house, to the commissioners office and phoned New Jersey. They said I hadn't paid a ticket I got a year ago, but I had. I had to fax documents, pay a restoration fine and show receipts only to be told that 'Oops.. you did pay that ticket. Our fault, we'll erase it from your record and refund you the fine." (that was New Jersey.)

Great, no more suspended drivers license. But I still have a problem, I don't have a license. The sheriff took it, and I have to go to court to get it back because I got stopped in Maryland. So now I have to call the Maryland court system and see if there is anyway to get it all dropped (minus the speeding ticket and registration ticket, and DL ticket.. because I deserve those.)

So just in case you may be having a bad week, I hope mine is worse and makes you feel better.

Is it Friday yet?

Drifting, I feel for you! That is a bad start to the week! You're getting the necessary things done, however, and just keep reminding yourself that this week will be a past memory at some point in time - I would keep all paperwork and licenses up to date as much as possible (can imagine it's tough out of state) so this will never happen to you again! :)

Let me tell you I went home last night and had a whole lot of wine. Then I was hung over this morning while I was trying to take care of business. :/ So the wine wasn't the best idea in the world.

It was entirely the State of New Jersey's MVA's fault (The suspension, not the speeding/being pulled over). They didn't suspend my license until 8 months AFTER the ticket had been paid. It's the only reason I got a refund on the reinstatement fee. They're not known for giving back money (What DMV is?)

They're lucky I didn't get arrested because of it.

Now, I just need my license so I can get get a Maryland License and finish doing what I should have done a year ago. Bah.

I must have done something terrible recently. Karma's a bitch.

Unfortunately I have to hold off gelding my colt until I know how much the fees will be with this court date. But he doesn't -need- to be done now, he's very well behaved and doing perfectly fine in his pasture with the geldings. He can hold off till next month, or I'll make it a Christmas present for him. Ha.

I have to say, however, that speeding, such that you get two tickets, isn't bad luck.
