    Recipe Thread

I've seen these on other forums, and didn't see one here so I thought I'd give it a go :)

Post your favorite recipes; we want thing as simple as your favorite cookies to exotic dishes that everyone always wonders if they're good or not.

    Oreo truffles:
Very easy, just slightly messy. My frieds love these at holiday parties.
    What you need:
-1 pkg. (1 lb. 2 oz.) OREO Cookies, finely crushed, divided
-1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    -2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

    Directions:
MIX 3 cups of the cookie crumbs and the cream cheese until well blended. Shape into 42 (1-inch) balls.
DIP balls in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover melted chocolate can be stored in tightly covered container at room temperature and saved for another use.) Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.
REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Store any leftover truffles in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

    TIPS!!:
    How to Easily Dip Truffles
To easily coat truffles with the melted chocolate, add truffles, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Then use two forks to roll truffles in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove the truffles with forks and allow excess chocolate to drip back into bowl before placing truffles on prepared baking sheet

    Green Broke
    Poor man stew-
    -4 large potaos
    -1 smoked kielbasa
    -1pkg aged shredded Wisconsin cheddar
    -1 can corn

Cut potatoes unto 1/4" slices, cut sausage 1/4" slices
Place both in large skillet fry covered until potatoes are done
    Add corn and cheese
    Heat until melted

Fast easy and filling. And can be made in a dutch oven when you are camping, just use a block of cheese and shred it, use smoked sausage instead of kielbasa... you can add whatever you like to it as well...

    Hooters Fried Pickles

3 to 4 large pickles, whole
    1/2 cup all purpose flour
    1/4 cup beer
    1 tablespoon cayenne
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1 tablespoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons garlic salt
    3 dashes hot pepper sauce
    Vegetable oil for frying

Cut dill pickles into slices of 1/4 inch thickness. Combine flour, beer, cayenne, paprika, pepper, salt, garlic salt and hot pepper sauce in a medium mixing bowl. Dip pickle slices into batter.

Heat oil to 375 degrees F in a large, deep saucepan. Fry pickles until they float to the surface, about 4 minutes.

My favourite recipe is one of the simplest and all you need is a phone and a takeaway menu, lol.
