Remembrance Day

Please remember to take a moment to remember those who have fought and died for our beautiful countries. Without them, this world would truly be a different one.
I attended a wonderful ceremony this morning where the deceased were honored and remembered.

Thank you to those who have fought. Thank you to those who are still fighting.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918 )

Thanks for the wonderful post Allie :)

GR and I took our moment of silence and I even tried explaining to a three year old why, he didn't understand yet, but he will.

Thank you for replying, Eddie and Tiff. Tiff, GR will understand with time... it's very hard even trying to explain... haha

Beautiful post, Allie!
They sacrificed everything, to help us keep everything.
Their brave souls should never be forgotten.
