We went to the MN Ren Fest today. My husband and I went last year, but this was the first year Seth went with us. He had a lot of fun, but I'm sure he didn't quite know what to make of it.
We had to park like 2 miles away from the entrance, the trip into the Ren Fest wasn't bad because we caught a shuttle, but the trip back, the shuttle had stopped running, so we had to walk. Oye.. I must of walked off like 20 pounds, and was extremely close to heat stroke, seriously, I was dizzy, and close to vomiting. Aside from that, we all had a great time!
On to the pics.......
Seth, not really sure what to make of all of the odd ppl wearing all the crazy clothes, and talking crazy. He really did look at some people funny. Lol
Seth INSISTED on riding the big horses, even though there were ponies just on the other side of the jousting arena. Of course after the clyde ride, he wanted to ride the ponies. Lol
The elephants would pass by the fence where the onlookers were, to get tidbits of treats as they passed by while giving rides. LOL We had a pickle, and at first Seth was gung-ho about feeding it to the elephants, but once one of them passed, Seth freaked out! I shouldn't laugh tho, I freaked out too when one of them grabbed me with it's trunk. Finally, Craig was able to get the pickle in the trunk. Lol
Here are a few pics from the Joust. We didnt stay long, it was standing room only, and I was being attacked by a bee who apparently had a 'thing' for my apple. Lol
I really like this pic. The little girl was scolded (jokingly) for loving up on the horse because apparently the horse was a REAL BAD WAR HORSE! Lol
The Danger Committee aka The Dew Drop Brothers: We saw these guys last year when we went, and they were AWESOME!!! I have vids of this act, I'll have my husband upload them tomorrow at work, and I'll add them to this thread. If you ever have an opportunity to see them, I would defenatly take it. Not only is their act amazing, but they're funny too! Lol
Just a random person:
All tuckered out. I was really amazed at how well Seth did today. He walked MOST of the day, and only wanted to be picked up a few times. He was on his best behavior, I am so proud of my little man.
This is a crude pic of the henna tattoo that I got today. If you can't tell, it's a butterfly. I just took it, so please excuse the blurryness of the pic. It'll get darker in a day or two, and it'll stay for a few weeks.
