Unhappy Rolling in ....Manure!

Yup, today as I was leaving the manure pile , after dumping the wheel barrel, it happened. I slipped on the ice and landed on my back. But don't worry, it was a soft landing.......squarely in the manure pile!

Now, while I like the smell of horse and all that is connected with it, this was a bit much , even for me!

Just one of those moments when you have to shake your head and laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. That and strip off before going in the house!

Any one else out there do a swan dive in the manure pile?

You bet, work around it long enough you eventually fall in it. As I recall it was dry stuff though. I will admit to picking up a bun or 2 with bare hands when cleaning out a pile out of the horse trailer, the manure fork just wasn't getting the last couple of buns. I washed before dinner though.

Haha waresbear I can relate to that!

I tend to throw turds at my friends just for fun :p especially when my friends aren't horsey people haha!

I used to have poop wars too! We would throw poop above the stalls while were all mucking. Ah good times.

I think the only time I fell in manure was on a pony ride when I was about 7. I got off and fell right into it!

Be glad it was only horsie doo doo.
I've got other critters on my farm and I usually take a big dive at least once or twice a year when it is really muddy out.
Wait... that wasn't mud my hand squished through up to my elbow last time....... ewwwww

At the farm I worked at years ago, on slow days us kids would turn the water troughs into forts and throw the turds at each other like they were snowballs LOOOL. Good times

Lockwood, that made me laugh. Several years ago, during spring shots, my feet got stuck good and proper in several inches of winter muck (yup, horse doo, urine and all that lovely mud). Well, without going into too many details, my boy Walka went to move in my direction and as I tried to take a step back......yup no movement. Found myself face down in all that muck.

Vet almost had a heart attack, thought I was dead. But over the next few days, my skin never looked so good! Image bottling that stuff! We'd all be rich!
